I would like to thank on behalf of myself and the Czech Leonarda Foundation Fund all those who accompanied me on the adventurous journey towards the development and realization of Czech Leonarda Film Award. Thanks to you, your kind help and support I was able to bring the project to a successful 1st year.
A number of Czech women filmmakers with excellent projects applied, this alone shows the need for this award.
We have the first prize winners who have received a financial stipend to create the first version of the script of their winning idea.
Thanks to the stipend, the first three scripts are now being written, which probably would not have been possible without Czech Leonarda.
I would like to thank our film Jury, our partners and supporters, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the Government Commissioner for Human Rights Klára Laurenčíková, the Nordic Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic, Euromedia, OOA-S, the Propolis33 Foundation, the Finale Pilsen Film Festival, Michal Šašek, the Pilsen Region, the City of Pilsen and many others for their trust and faith in this project. And also to all the filmmakers!
