The Czech Leonarda Award is the first to support talented women filmmakers and their film, television and web works.

The aim of Czech Leonarda is to support the best projects with a financial stipend. The stipend will allow the authors of the awarded projects to fully devote themselves to the development of the work and to writing the script.

To contribute to the creation of audiovisual works that may one day belong to the golden fund of Czech and world cinema, to help ensure that female screenwriters and directors are given adequate opportunities.
