The first film award for women, Česká Leonarda, founded by director Zora Cejnková, winner of the EBU Creative Forum Award, is pleased to announce the nominations for its first year.
Fifteen nominated treatments will compete for a creative scholarship in three categories.
The winners will be decided by a jury of experts at the Czech Leonarda Day on September 28, 2025, in Pilsen, as part of the Finále Plzeň festival.
In its first year, the award has already won the prestigious Diversity Awards 2024 from the Nordic Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic, as well as the patronage of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the Pilsen Region, and other prominent institutions and partners.
the ceremonial announcement of the first winners of the award on September 28 at 7 p.m. will take place at Měštanská beseda in Pilsen, Czech Republic, attended by the highest representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the Government Commissioner for Human Rights, and other important guests, partners of the award, and filmmakers.
